Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has confirmed that winger, Christian Pulisic, will miss the Blues’ Premier League derby against Arsenal on Sunday evening.
Tuchel said the US international would miss Chelsea’s clash against Arsenal after he contracted COVID-19 ahead of the tie at Emirates Stadium.
The German also provided the latest update on Hakim Ziyech and N’Golo Kante.
The former PSG manager stated this on Friday during his pre-match press conference.
Chelsea head to the game following a 3-0 win against Crystal Palace in their last fixture, while Arsenal lost 2-0 against Brentford.
Recall that both Ziyech and Kante missed Chelsea’s clash against Crystal Palace due to injury.
“With Christian, it’s unfortunately very easy to explain,” Tuchel said.
“He had a positive test and needs to follow the protocols, so he won’t be available for the game [Arsenal vs Chelsea].
“Hakim and N’Golo were both in training today and they had no problems. We need to have a more intense session tomorrow with them and the team before we decide, but right now, it seems positive that both can be in the squad for Sunday.”
