Two top midfielder, Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko have left Chelsea.
The Blues confirmed loan deals for both midfield stars ahead of the transfer deadline as they will play for different clubs next season.
French man, Bakayoko joined the Blues from Monaco in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £40m after helping the French side win the Ligue 1 title.
Chelsea said in a statement that, “Tiemoue Bakayoko will spend this season back in Serie A after joining AC Milan on a two-year loan.
“The midfielder returns to the San Siro for a second spell with Milan until 2023, having previously represented the club during the 2018/19 campaign, and knows the league well after also spending last season at Napoli.
“In Italy, Bakayoko will be a team-mate of former Blues Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud, who both joined the Rossoneri permanently this summer.”
Also, England midfielder, Danny Drinkwater, who joined the club from Leicester City in the summer of 2017 will now play for Reading this season.
A club statement read: “Danny Drinkwater has joined Reading on loan for the 2021/22 season.
“The midfielder becomes the second Chelsea player to move to the Royals for the current campaign, alongside left-back Baba Rahman.
“Reading have three points from their opening five matches of the Championship season. Having narrowly missed out on the play-offs in 2020/21.
“It is a return to English football for Drinkwater, who spent last term in Turkey with Kasimpasa after previous loan spells at Burnley and Aston Villa.”
