Respected football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has identified Kurt Zouma, as the player delaying Chelsea to complete a Jules Kounde transfer from Sevilla.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move to sign Kounde, 22, in recent days.
Speaking on the development, Romano said Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with Kounde and it now just remains for the Champions League winner to strike a deal with Sevilla.
“They [Chelsea] are in talks for Kounde. They are working on it,“ Romano told Don Robbie YouTube channel
“They were including [Jacob] Zouma as part of the negotiation but they have no agreement on the value of Zouma.
“Sevilla want €45million plus Zouma in the deal. Chelsea were offering €30million to €35million with Zouma. The value of Zouma is the problem at the moment. Let us see what happens in the coming days.
“The next one could be Kounde. They want to sign him with or without Zouma.
“He has an agreement of personal terms with Chelsea on a five-year contract. He is ready to join Chelsea.
“After the [Romelu] Lukaku saga, we will have the final answer.”
