Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has ruled out signing free agent Lionel Messi and will instead continue to chase Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane.<\/p>\n

Kane is determined to leave Spurs this summer and is yet to report for pre-season training.<\/p>\n

City made a \u00a3100m bid for the striker in June, but it was rejected by Spurs.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Messi also became available, after Barcelona announced he will not be signing a new deal with the club.<\/p>\n

Hours later, City confirmed the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for a British record \u00a3100m.<\/p>\n

Guardiola now has his eyes on another member of the England national team and not Messi.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe (Kane) is a player for Tottenham Hotspu<\/a>r and if Tottenham don\u2019t want to negotiate, it is finished.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Man City and many clubs in the world want to try to sign him, we are not an exception, but it depends on Tottenham.<\/p>\n
